COLOURED HORSES

Wolfie

For Reference we would like to include STORMHILL JOSEPH and his son STORMHILL MINK on our web site. We still get occasional queries about these two stallions, who have both been sold on.

STORMHILL JOSEPH: Joseph is a piebald of about 16 hh of Irish Draught Type, He has no known pedigree. We purchased Joseph as a 2-year old and used him , mainly on TB mares for a few years before selling him on to a stud in Scotland, where he still stands at stud.

During our time with us he sired STORMHILL MINK, out of the grey Thoroughbred mare Furtrader who was by Import. Mink did very well himself as a youngster. He was CHAPS Champion and Futurity foal winner and also won both the coloured and Hunter Foal classes at the West |Midlands foal Show. He won at The West Midlands Stallion Show, where he won the Coloured class as a yearling. At two years old we sold him on, having used him on a couple of mares. He has continued winning in the show-ring for his new connections and is also covering mares. www.stormhillmink.com

The results so far are excellent : A WINNER AT THE HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW, no less, who has also been successful at other major shows and is described by Judge Cathy Wood as ‘an outstanding mover’.

Stormhill Joseph also has a bay son, Stormhill Crusader (out of the TB mare In a Dream by Caruso) who has been competing in BE classes for some time and who is giving his owner, Peter Williams and other connections, enormous pleasure
