We aim to produce top-class sporthorses which also are pleasure to ride. We are proud of our horses, we want YOU to be proud to own one of them!
Stormhill Stud is a very small stud. We lack funds and have no staff. Whilst we aim to breed top-class competition horses it is very important to us that the horses have really good temperaments. Our horses have to be hardy and tough, there is little time for mollycuddling. We want the horses to have a good jump and to WANT to do their job, whatever it is.
The stud developed as our children grew up. Our daughter enjoyed competing, first with the Pony Club , and then nationally, both Eventing and Show-jumping.

I had previously trained a small number of thoroughbreds as a Permit trainer in England and had been breeding N.H. horses for some years. After an economic disaster in the shape of a run of filly-foals I diversified into breeding a few coloured horses and then Sporthorses. I have used some very well bred Thoroughbred mares, themselves good, athletic performers by stallions such as Oats, Broadsword(USA) etc.
The horses who have competed abroad have proved well up to standard, both in France and Spain.

I am constantly trying to improve movement and scope.

For the result of many years of hard work, please see the BEST HORSES page

KREMLIN is still at stud and is a stallion who deserves a bigger following! Practically ALL his offspring are competing with success at National and International level, both Eventing and Show-jumping. His fertility is still excellent, touch wood.
