Stormhill Miller was bred by me when we lived at South Yard in Devon. He was born in 1996, a  dark bay stallion, who was exported to Ireland in the autumn of 1999, having been used on three mares before that. He now stands at stud in Ireland as an Approved Sporthorse Stallion. He is a Thoroughbred with athletic paces and a very classy horse. In Ireland he has covered around 60 mares in the last few stud seasons. From his first handful of offspring he has produced :

We are delighted to have had a recent report that Miller is making his presence felt in Ireland. Latest news on this is that a horse called Stormhill Flight is shortlisted for the Irish teamfor the Junior European Championships(eventing). This horse is out of a mare by Laughton Flight.  I didn’t breed Stormhill Flight, but she is flying the Stormhill flag so go on, get to the Europeans! Best of Irish luck to you!

Subaltern Will at the All Ireland Finals for 2-yearolds. His dam is by Stormhill Miller who is proving an excellent sire of show-horses in Ireland.

On the left is a photo of Subaltern Will who is the spitting image of Miller and Michael and is the most amazing young horse. He was unbeaten as a yearling and two year old in the show ring, qualifying for the All Ireland yearling and two year old championships against the best horses in the country and was top six each time. Carl Hanley the Irish International has a Stormhill Miller offspring jumping and Michael Lyons a top producer also has some very nice show horses by Stormhill Miller. We will be very happy to put up further information about  Miller’s offspring but we depend on other people to send us the information.

STORMHILL MILLER is also the sire of STORMHILL SUN BEAN. This mare was not bred by me but was bred in Ireland by Stormhill Miller out of an Irish mare , Knockarry Sally, so, she is nearly a Stormhill horse, but not quite. People are pinching our pre-fix now! Anyway, SUN BEAN is a very useful mare who has just come 5th in her first Pre-Novice in 2009, having already been placed at lower level. She now has been placed in Novice classes and has 2 BE points to her credit. I hope we’ll have a photo of her in due course. It is nice to hear that the Miller horses are doing well.
